Well, now the holidays are over, and we've got a long stretch of winter in front of us. So, now what?
First off: how about no New Year's Resolutions. I understand the reasons for resolutions, but realistically, how long do we stick to them? According to some articles I have read online, only 12% of people stick with their resolutions all year. I say, let's start the year on a positive note and not get frustrated right out of the gate.
Second: let's work on transformation, not on quick fixes. We can all find small ways to transform our day-to-day lifestyle. Make healthier choices like USANA's Nutrimeal Shakes (Chocolate Whey,Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry) and Nutrition Bars (Chocolate Fusion, Oatmeal Raisin, & Peanut Butter). Take the stairs. Keep yourself active to help fight seasonal mood disorders. Transform can last the entire year, maybe even a lifetime, which is a positive choice.
Third: simplify. After the holiday hustle and bustle, why not sit back and enjoy the silence. My tendency is to get back to my mile-long to do list. This year I am not going to do that. Instead, I am going to break my list into smaller pieces, to allow time for me to have fun and enjoy life.
Fourth: let's continue our holiday trend of treating others with respect. There is no reason we cannot be kind and courteous all year long. It will go a long was to help someone else have a good day, too.
For 2011, besides getting caught up on my huge stack of reading material, I will be focusing on (not resolving to) eating healthier and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. I am usually pretty good, but I want to recommit and be more focused. I will start by doing a RESET 5 Day High Fibre Cleanse in January, then will create a healthy eating plan and fun fitness schedule to help me make a lifestyle transformation, one that is realistic and that I can maintain. Will you join me?
Here's to a great 2011, I'm glad you'll be along for the ride.
